I know Thorne and Ted initialized this post, but I feel responsible for continuing it, and distracting you all from your true purpose. Apologies to all.
What I’m seeing here is that freelancers, PJ’s, Travel Photogs, creative people in general, just seem to have a problem following a simple instruction.

Well if it wasn’t for the likes of Craigslist stealing and under cutting the industry I’d be out shooting right now or post processing my work instead of being bored out of friggin’ mind with too much time on my hands. I blame my idle mind and curiosity on Craigslist. Ignore this rant.
I can assure everyone that this comment is not directed towards anybody on this thread in particular, however,
I thought the essence of this post warranted a casual reference to Mike Judge’s Idiocracy..
“john just spent the last two days finding that shot”
Actually it was shot to order Ted. Three day shoot involving a carpenter, wood carver, health and safety man and art director. I did have something else planned but my bid for the marathon race I was supposed to be covering wasn’t accepted. Apparently one of the running club members attending the event is pretty good with a digital camera so he is going to cover it for free.
john, too funny in a “laughing to keep from screaming” way. back in the ’90s i quoted a 1-week job, that, after a long story went to an intern with a digital camera. $15,000 budget to free.
