It is impossible to tell from your description what the problem is. Sigma makes good quality lenses, some indistingushable from similar Nikon or Canon equipment. You should not have a blur with every shot, though, if you are focusing it correctly and using a stable tripod.

I suggest that you have a camera equipment professional look at the lens to see if something is out of adjustment.

you might be dealing with front-focus or back-focus, which means the focus is a bit off the point you set it to. if so, it can be fixed

We have 18 at the paper. Only the ones that have been banged up in the field or suffered damaged have focusing troubles.

We send them home to sigma to be fixed and that’s that.

Indeed, Sigma makes good quality lenses. Yours has a problem( I asume that your technique is good), best to send it in i think.

From my experience, Sigma, or at least Sigma’s national agents are pretty quick as fixing lenses too.

well, i use the same exact lens, the Sigma 70-200 f2.8 for Canon. I have already worked with similar Nikon and Canon and i can´t notice any difference between them. I have heard this model is the best one made by Sigma compared to the Canon/Nikon brands…almost the same quality. I never had a problem about blur, unless i am working in very low speed without tripod or monopod. Also, the tripod must be good or the lens can change the position due it´s weight while doing the exposure…
