Jason Andrew was born and raised on the coast of California where he spent his early years surfing and snowboarding while exploring the small coastal villages of Baja California. Upon graduating with a Bachelors Degree in History from San Diego State University,Jason began shooting pictures for a small music label while teaching elementary school.

In 2006, he moved to New York City to attend the Documentary and Photojournalism program
where he interned with VII photographer James Nachtwey. Jason currently lives in Brooklyn,NY where he enjoys riding his vespa, eating sushi and surfing when he’s not on assignment.
