Re:Making Portfolio

Hello All:

Does anyone have any good simple info. on how to lay out pages in in-design so they are correct for a post bound book without acetate or plastic pages? How much gutter, should they be facing pages, how much gutter, bleed etc. Any suggestions? I am laying it out as a portrait style book with facing horizontals for most of it and about 7 double trucks. I know this posting is pathetic, but I’ve never done it before.
