so if anyone is interested in taking over my place to run out the annual
agreement, the apartment will be available the second
week of October. The rent is currently 510 euros a
month, until May, when it would go up. How much up
depends on whether it is renegotiated or simply
increased acc. to cost-of-living index, which can
probably be worked out to be the case.
Anyone who wants to take over must be the first to
reimburse my deposit of 960 euros. Otherwise, I will
give notice the first week of Sept. It will be
necessary to open a local bank account and set up
automatic payments for rent and all utilities:
electric, water, phone, (and ADSL if you want to keep
it). Also looking for that person ideally to purchase
the basic furnishings, which include substantial
terrace garden furniture, bed, bookcase, tables,
chests of drawers, desk, chairs, mirrors, kitchen
stuff, etc.
Perfect for a writer — or an artist, the light is
from the north, and the ample terrace is great for
entertaining. Located in an ideal part of town, near
the trendy Born district, the Picasso Museum, the
beach, and a big park across the street. Views of the
park and the sea; a penthouse (atico) with elevator.
Thanks,
Jeffrey
