Adreinne Waheed has had a passion for photography since she got her first Pentax camera at age 13. This Oakland native and Howard University alum honed her skills at Essence magazine, where she was photo editor from 1999 until 2003. Currently, Ms. Waheed holds the title of Associate Photo Editor at
VIBE magazine. She still shoots in her spare time and has been published by Random House Books,
BET Books, Sony Music, Columbia Records, The Fader magazines.
Ms. Waheed resides in Brooklyn, where she is currently working on a book of male portraits that she hopes will be published.
