Advice for Buying canon gear in China,is it cheaper ?

It would be my first trip to China for about 10 days (Beijing,Chongquing,Shanghai ).I was wondering if it is cheaper to buy canon gear(new & used) from China?
Also is it common to find vegetarian food in the hotels and eating places.Any tips will be appreciated.Thanks.

I fell off the vegetarian wagon in Beijing a few years ago. While you may not be served meat directly much of the stocks and sauces will be meat derivative.

Bring a packed lunch.

Yes – defficult to communicate concept of vegetarianism in China…

Canon (and Nikon) gear not that cheap here. Better off getting it in Hong Kong where it is cheaper than china…

canon is cheaper in hong kong, like all the other digital stuff (computers and such).....

yeah, I would suggest buying Camera gears in H.K. excellent prices!
Good Vegetarian restaurants too !!! Pure Veg !
