*THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN PUT ON HOLD, BUT WE ARE STILL GATHERING CONTACTS IN AFRICA, SO PLEASE GET IN TOUCH IF YOU WANT US TO ADD YOU TO OUR DATABASE TO KEEP YOU INFORMED ABOUT FUTURE PROJECTS**
Looking for photographers & filmmakers who are in or know people currently in any of the following places:
Nigeria (Lagos/Abuja/Port Harcourt), Cameroon (Douala/Yaounde), Ghana (Accra/Kumasi), Kenya (Nairobi/Mombassa) + Cote d’Ivoire (Abidjan)
I’m putting a team of people together for a few different projects that are currently in planning phases right now – both for documentation, content creation and research…
1) Music – a Pan-African music program that involves a TV talent search, an album, a weekly radio and tv and community music centers—my role in what will be a massive project is to find local talent and make sure the program will work with locals and that we are catering to what people actually want…
2) Youn African Males / Inspiration – I’m looking to commission either film or photo projects from each of the above cities that profile individual people. We want to understand today’s youth and understand what inspires them
3) Social Responsibility / Aids – We are doing research for a brand that is interested in starting an Aids education program, but isn’t sure how to go about doing it and isn’t sure where the epidemic needs the most help…
If you are interested in any of this – please send a note to marisa@supmag.com... I check Lightstalkers about 1x a day….
EVERYONE WILL BE PAID FOR ANY WORK THEY ARE COMMISSIONED TO DO!
Thank you! Marisa

HEY EVERYONE! I just want to say that I’m going through all of the emails I’ve been sent and will get back to you all before the end of this week – Friday, February 9. We have such an overwhelming response to these projects, so it is taking us some time to go through everything and provide everyone with a thoughful response. Thank you for your patience!

Looking forward to hear from you Marisa. Regards, Felix

Hello Marisa
I just saw this query from you, there are many issues to cover in Africa, from aids to crime to development, gender etc. They are all relevant. However there are also many many positive stories about Africa, like tremendous development in Mozambique, Aids education in Uganda etc etc. To many to write about here. I wish you luck with your project which sounds good and surly worth doing!!!!
If you would like some input, a photographer a cameraman or what ever please let me know. Good luck to you
