Hello to All of You on LIGHTSTALKERS !

I am Ahmed Mokhtar, a humanist photographer and photography & visual culture instructor, with solid references that can be checked on internet.

I intend to implement a non profit org., aiming at promoting Children Photo Workshops activities in India.

This will be a long-term project , aiming to build long-term mentorships between volunteers, photographers, educators, art-therapists and artists , investing all their mutual talents for under-privileged community children in India.

We believe that Photography and visual expressiveness, with its infinite varieties of uses ( colors, shapes, self-portraits, storytelling, small visual thematic projects etc..) becomes children’s internal AND universal language.

Photography as a medium for expresiveness, for self-discovery through creative process , image healing metaphors, visual stories, exhibits, unleashes children’s authentic language , helping them to find their own voices and to develop imagination, creativity and their inner voice to be HEARD and SEEN.

Creativity , expression, love and patience are at the foundation of everything in children’slives.

This project needs tremendous patience and volunteering from all of you. We will need a brochure and a website, networking, fund-raising, promotion, teachers and volunteers, and, to start with, GOOD WILL & GOOD IDEAS !

Let us ally free spirited talents helping to implement and promote this project. Whatever your contribution (no money please, just ideas, help, volunteering with your skills and network for the moment) , it will naturally bear “credit” and your full acknowledgments.

WE NEED SKILLS/TALENT/HELP/VOLUNTEERS FOR :

-cool PDF documents creation with our ressource material

-a web designer or webmaster ready to allocate some time to create/contribute to our website to come. THIS IS THE MOST URGENT.

-people with good links/networks/threads in Intl. Institutions, NGO’s, Art/Education institutions, funding programs

-people with good links/Contacts with press, media, TV, internet.

-people with good network nearby foundations/Granting/ Funding

-Or, just, photographers, journalists, educators, teachers, artists ready to contribute, by offering a specific skill, service, talent for the project.

May you wish to help, I would be mostly grateful.Just think about how you can really and efficiently contribute, whatever your talent & skills.

I REPEAT , it is for a total NON COMMERCIAL AND NON PROFIT USE.

As you may well guess, things have to be built part by part in such a project, therefore, a concrete pdf will not be ready before few months. But it will exist, and I hope to keep contact with you for a possible future friendly cooperation.TALK ABOUT IT, LET PEOPLE KNOW PLEASE !
