Bangkok, Cambodia , Vietnam travel advice and someone to share beers with???

Hello all!! I will be at the Angkor Photography Festival this year. Will be in Bangkok 15-16th November and possibly some time in December. I am looking to travel around Cambodia, Vietnam, possible Laos (after the workshop at Angkor) from the 29th Nov – 13 Dec. Any travel advice? Places not to be missed, or some “local gems”? Photography related advice?
And anybody to share beers with in Bangkok on 15-16 Nov?? First time in South East Asia, excited about it!!
