The National Press Photographers Association presents the 30th Annual Northern Short Course in Photojournalism, March 10-12, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza, Warwick, RI

The three- day event features more than two-dozen workshops in lighting, business practices, working with NGO’s, pitfalls to avoid when applying for jobs, visual educators training, social media and TV journalism as well as a two-day multimedia track including workshops in audio, video storytelling and Final Cut Pro.

The Saturday lecture series will include 4 of the most innovative journalists today sharing their work and experiences as well as a panel discussion focusing on the future of photojournalism and the changing markets available for visual journalists. The lecture series will be followed by a reception honoring the Northern Short Course contest winners.
