Alan, of course, I’m totally biased, but the latest show of Michelle Obama and Biden this AM at Colfax was really powerful. The bike was a stroke of brilliance.

denver is a beautiful, clean city. i almost feel bad weaving my bike in and out of the DNC-traffic congestion and hordes of pedestrians downtown. they seem shocked that i ride the wrong way down one way streets and my only excuse or explanation is that i’m from New York!
the convention itself, though more akin to a giant graduation than an actual decision-making gathering, as all the decisions have been made already, is a fascinating view into the demographics and personalities of American politics today. you can’t help, no matter how jaded and cynical you might be, to feel a twinge of the sense of history and also get a better understanding of the practical realities of how the imperfect system works.
one more, final day to go! next stop, the Invesco Stadium and Barack Obama’s big speech…
