To me, photography means telling stories, bringing awareness, capturing the incongruities of life.
My purpose is to transmit the emotional resonance of the situations I have witnessed and with that, to imprint fragments of lives and places that otherwise might have been left unrecorded and unnoticed.
Most of the times, ignorance is not bliss. Photography is a way of making sure that what happens beyond our reach and away from our touch doesn’t get lost in translation.
Every single image has the power to validate and record events. Consequently, taking pictures becomes a very powerful instrument and as such, must be upheld with rigor, clarity and discipline.
