film recovery-scanning where to start?

im trying to recovery all my negative and slide collection (about 50.000) shoots from my work
Any one’s suggestion in how and what scanners are people using to protect and building their archive from their work?
the different prices and options dont help on finding the best scanner to re-born the old work and probably to allow shooting once in a while on film?
