Alex Boerner

Alex Boerner graduated from the University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, MN in 1998 with a degree in Entrepreneurship. He learned about photography from the people he met while working as a photographer for the college newspaper, The Aquin, and while learning how to print b&w photos in the school’s photo lab. A year after graduation he was hired as a staff photographer for the N’West Iowa REVIEW, a small weekly paper with big photo play in Sheldon, IA.
After nearly two years in Iowa, and a year back in Minneapolis, MN, Alex moved to Vero Beach, FL for an internship at the Vero Beach Press Journal, one of the Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers that covers three counties and about 70 miles along Florida’s east coast. A series of short moves brought him 40 more miles south to Stuart, FL, where he currently lives and works as a staff photographer with the Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers.
