Hey fellow lightstalkers,

I wanted to let you know about a new project I am working on together with a small team. We are highlighting the effects of developing aid in the form of a documentary film.

We are currently in Haiti to answer the question: do generous donations actually have the desired effect, or do they conversely create an unhealthy dependence? We will examine the issues of necessity and usefulness of traditional development assistance, and offer solutions for improvement.

Also, if somebody has a good example that shows why traditional development aid isn’t working (that has happened in Haiti), please help us and share your experiences with us.
