Help w/Camera Insurance worldwide needed

Hello,
I’m going a little crazy finding camera insurance that will cover me while traveling. I am a UK citizen using a US address and need coverage for a minimum of 6 months… I will be starting off in Central America. But, the big guys, like Hays, groupinsure etc… all have clauses that make it seem I won’t be covered- if an area is deemed dangerous…. if the gear’s taken by the government or rebels…. one won’t cover in volcanoes, another earthquakes, another terrorist acts etc… etc…
So, who are you using when traveling the globe on assignments? Do you just know that in some situations you’ll take a hit, is there some small print worth worrying about over others?
I would really appreciate input.
Thank you,
Amiran
