Anne-Cecile was born in 1980, Paris, France.
She graduated with a degree in Global Studies from University of Sciences Po in France and she studied one year in California. She later did postgraduate work in journalism and also has a master degree in Sciences multi-media from La Sorbonne in Paris.
Following graduation, she found internship in French AFP in Washington DC and London offices.
Then, she worked in the French newspaper Liberation, at the multi-media section.
In 2006, she was offered a full-time job in Beijing, to work for the wire agency Xinhua. She stayed in China two years until the Olympics: she became a freelance photographer and worked for various reputable other publications.
She now works as a photo editor for the Agence France Presse AFP in Hong Kong.
