The workshops offered by Al-liquindoi in my opinion are one of the best in the market. If you want to have the experience of your life keep your ears open and sign up to one of them. (she usually has 4 or 5 a year). The photographers are great, they are affordable and the students end up shooting and producing a good body of work. Not only do you work hard but you also get to see and enjoy the city or town were it’s happening.

I just got that from my friend Jessica, we met in Havana back in Time while attending Maine workshops, and it was a really nice experience at the time.

I’ve emailed Jessica with some practical questions; I’m seriously considering applying.

Any other lightstalkers thinking of going?

As a Spanish now living in Japan I feel very sorry to be that far away, but for sure the Workshops from Aliquindoi are the BEST and the most important….with AFFORDABLE prices and REAL Photographers teaching and sharing his knowledge.
They did the workshops in diferent locations from Spain, but Aliquindoi its based in the South (they are clever!!!) i think in Cadiz…
Maybe next time I have the oporunity to join some.
See U

I figure I might as well ask a few questions here, maybe someone will be able to answer…

I normally shoot film, but I take it that is out of the question for the workshop. Shooting digital is no problem for me, but I’m wondering if participants have to take their own laptops or if computers are available at the spot?

I assume all courses are in English, by the way?

Thanks, J

You don’t need a laptop, but it helps especially if your shooting with a digital. I think there’s a one computer in the class. and no, shooting with film is not out of the question, or at least it wasn’t in the past and the courses are in english. there’s an interpreter for the spanish. great workshops

For a 2006 photo of my friend Antonin Kratochvil, while in California doing a VII Agency weekend seminar at Art Center in Pasadena, check out my Lightstalkers Gallery. He’s the greatest – you’ll learn so much, and have a terrific time with one of our very best photojournalists! PS: Thanks to Aleph, Tony, Erica, Robert and Art, for helping me re-size my gallery jpgs – you’re so special! Best, Loretta Ayeroff
