Antonio Faccilongo is a freelance photojournalist based in Rome, Italy. After he graduated in Communication Science, he started working as a documentary photographer. He has mostly focused his work on the Middle East and South-East Asia, covering cultural, social and political subjects.
His reportages have been published on some of the most prominent international media like Time, Stern, Der Spiegel, M Le Monde magazine, New York Times, Vsd, Polka, Swide, Le Tube, Piel de Foto, Panorama, Oggi, Gente, La Repubblica, Corriere della sera, Il Messaggero.
In the last years Faccilongo has received several awards like 1st Prize Gold medal Feature Category “Px3 2011 – Prix de la Photographie Paris”, 1st Prize Category People “IPA 2011 – International Photography Awards New York”, 1st Prize Portraits & People “WPGA – The Worlwide Photography Gala Awards 2011”, 1st Prize Story Category “Kuala Lumpur International Photoawards 2011”, 1st Prize “WOW World Of Women 2011”, 2nd Prize Category Political “IPA 2011 – International Photography Awards New York” and exhibited his works in many countries like Italy, Usa, England, Argentina, China, Malysia, Czech Republic, Slovakia and France.
