anyone able to lend a broadcast quality camcorders Cali/D.C.

Hello! I’m a young journalist whow is about to start filming my first documentary. I don’t have the money to rent or buy a broadcast quality camcorder and am currently borrowing a nonbroadcastable camera from a production company.
Does anyone know someone around D.C. or california who would lend my a broadcast quality camcorder? If there a rental place I can pay insurance, and in return he/she/or the company would get a tax break in the fall when part of the proceeds from my film go to a local charity combating HIV, AIDs.
