About
"I’ve always had to run I don’t know just why Desire slowly smoking
Under the midwest sky There’s something waiting out there That says I’ve got to try
But I can feel the thunder Underneath my feet I sold my soul for freedom
It’s lonely but it’s sweet."
i’m no sorority sweetheart, no wilting flower. i like the wind blowing through my hair. i want to see the world with my own eyes, and making mirrors of my eyes, show the world what i see. there is beauty. there is tragedy. that’s life, and i want as much of it as I can get.
Although I recieved a BA in Anthropology and Gender Studies from Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania, I call my international, boarding high school—Loomis Chaffee— my alma mater. I studied abroad in New Zealand and hope one day to retire there. I wrote my senior thesis on the Hopi after living on their reservation for a month thanks to a grant. I am currently finishing my last assignments for an MA in Photojournalism from Boston University, which was interrupted by a near death experience and it’s recovery time. I hope to use my writing and photographic skills to work with and learn about different world cultures and communities, and hopefully do some good; there are so many people who could use it.
