Ashley received a Bachelor of Art Degree in Communication and Media at State University of New York at New Paltz. After graduation she worked as a reporter and photojournalist in New York City covering local news and features in 5 boroughs before returning to her hometown Taipei, Taiwan in 2000.
In Taipei, Ashley joined a famous travel magazine and started to travel in Taiwan and abroad for a few years before she moved to financial magazines and newspapers including the renowned finance sector of Apple Daily of Next Media Group.
She left Apple Daily in 2008 to start her freelance career. Since then, Ashley spends her time taking photos for NPOs and foreign press including Bloomberg, Reuters, The New York Times, International Herald Tribune and HK based magazine Silkroad of Australian ACP Magazines. In 2009, Ashley was nominated in the categories of Fine Art & Photojournalism at the 3rd annual Photography Masters Cup presented by International Color Awards.
Ashley is currently based in Taipei working on assignments in Taiwan and around the world.
