Photo Editor Position at Oyster.com
Oyster Hotel Reviews is looking for a photo editor to assist in the
production of a large archive of travel imagery. This is a unique
position with an exciting startup, and we’re looking for someone with
a broad set of skills.
The ideal candidate will have excellent aesthetic sense as well as
experience with image management systems. The position will involve
creating and managing a workflow in Adobe Lightroom and other Creative
Suite programs, so these should be second nature. Most importantly,
you should be comfortable editing a large number of often-utilitarian
images. Knowledge of image optimization or management systems is a
huge plus, as is a delightful disposition and can-do attitude.
If you’re a photographer and know your way around a digital SLR,
that’s excellent. If you can competently teach it to others, that’s
even better. Are you also organized, enthusiastic and psyched about
travel photography? Drop us a line.
This is a 40hr/week freelance position but may be a fulltime/salary
position for the right person.
Requirements:
- BA Degree or higher
- A minimum of 1 years photo production and editing experience
- Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite programs and Microsoft Office
- Comfort using both Mac & PC formats
- Strong organizational skills
Preferred:
- Photography background and experience, including solid working
knowledge of Nikon DSLR systems
- Knowledge of editorial and commercial photography industries
