Balarama Heller is a freelance photographer based in Munich, Germany. He began pursuing international and domestic documentary projects at 18 and has since dedicated himself to photographing issues related to human rights, poverty, ritual, religion and labor. An internship at Magnum Photos in New York followed his graduation from the Art Institute of Boston in 2001. Recent work: Displaced people in Eastern Europe inhabiting abandoned Communist factories.
