Dimitri Beck

Currently working for a new project on photojournalism, called Polka magazine, including a publication and a photo gallery. See at www.polkagalerie.com (Web site in French. Coming in English).
As a freelance journalist and photographer, I worked in Afghanistan for the past two and half years where I was the head of Aïna Photo agency www.ainaphoto.org, the editor in chief of the French-English feature magazine Les Nouvelles de Kaboul – New Afghanistan and the deputy country director at Aina Kabul www.ainaworld.org.

Previously, I was the editor in chief of Webistan, a photo agency in Paris. I have travelled extensively as a freelancer in the former USSR particularly in the Caucasus and Central Asia and my investigative reports on the oil business, Islam and social issues have been published in numerous magazines (Geo – Spain edition, Le Monde2, Le Point, Le Nouvel Economiste, Biba, VSD…).

I am interested in world and current affairs and would therefore welcome commissions for any interesting reportage assignments.
