My first language and passion is photography, and I bring over 13 years of Photojournalism experience to bear in each image I capture. Currently, my focus is to develop authentic and creative contemporary photo documentaries about the world and human condition. My career in Photojournalism has spanned over a decade and taken me to all the major newspapers (El Comercio and El Universo) and magazines (Vistazo and Soho) of Ecuador. While working effectively on assignment, covering breaking news, politics, sports and arts, I developed my specialty in graphic storytelling and successfully originated and published my own projects, including the award-winning Prison Uprising, depicting a period of violence resulting from the overcrowded and inhumane living conditions at the Penal Garcia Moreno in Quito, Ecuador. My work has also been published in books and exhibited in Ecuador and the United States.
