About

I’m a photographer in Washington DC, where I was born. Freelance since 1995.

I’ve travelled quite a bit in Eastern Europe and the Balkans for a personal long-term body of work. Over the years my assignment work has been published in New York Times Magazine, Newsweek, Le Figaro, Das Magazin, New York Times, Washington Post, Patuxent Publishing, among others. I’ve won awards from the Nat’l Press Photographers Association, received a couple of grants, and exhibited in several countries. I’ve also photographed cover art for several Thievery Corporation CDs. I currently do a lot of documentary-style weddings and work on my own projects.
