Hi, I just did a small project with Julia Calfee who lived and worked for four years at the Chelsea Hotel in New York. She recently published a book about the hotel, and I basically helped her turn it into a short online movie. It was a pretty low key production done in iMovie and GarageBand in a few days. In terms of the photography it was all shot in natural light without using tripod, no posed images – sort of in a documentary movie fashion. But I think it proves that there are still a huge potentials for photographers who want to persue online storytelling – and that it is more about storytelling than technical tools and budgets.
