About

Today’s world is filled with spin from every imaginable source. Photojournalism brings real focus to things in a way that allows an entire story to be told in one frame without hundreds or thousands of words from even the most gifted writer. I keep asking, how can I bring sight to the blind corners?

I have been looking for these corners since I got my first camera on my eighth birthday with a subscription to National Geographic. I was born in Minneapolis, and lived in the Virgin Islands, Philadelphia, Annapolis and New York. I majored in politics and conflict in college, and went on to work in public policy. The Nat Geo’s continued to pile up in my bedroom, watched over by all the cameras I have used over the years.

Finally strangled by my suits and desk, I left to pursue my career in photojournalism, graduating from the International Center of Photography.

I look for the corners.

I am on the story, on call, online, on time and on budget.

My bag is packed.

This is my life.

GPS in metadata - work-around?

Anyone have experience incorporating GPS data into metadata while shooting? Nikon has fix, but I use Canon.

I found this from B&H, but seems a bit bulky and delicate:

Jobo photoGPS – Hot Shoe Activated GPS Datalogger.

Obviously, a meticulous and detailed process would work (i.e. cheap gps unit, write long & lat in a notebook and enter later via computer).

Any help would be most appreciative.

Best – Boots
