About

I’m a freelancer working mainly in Washington, DC, covering campaigns, Capitol Hill, and the White House, though I also have experience and interest in documentary work at home, in the former USSR, and elsewhere. I’ve been known to write in addition to taking pictures. Recent photography grants include a purchase grant as part of Washington DC’s City Hall Art Collection and a Yellow Fox Foundation grant; in 2008, I was a finalist for the first grant under the David Alan Harvey Fund for Emerging Photographers. I’m a member of the White House News Photographers Association (WHNPA).

Semana Santa festival in Ayacucho, Peru

Has anyone been to this? It takes place in the week or so leading up to Easter Sunday. What’s it really like? Stumbled across it in my LP guidebook and it sounds kinda tempting.
