Brett began his photography career in 1992 after entering the US Air Force where he served as a photographer at the 2nd Combat Camera Squadron and Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, Nevada.
After a 6 year enlistment in the Air Force, he moved back to So. California and began a career in the newspaper business as a Staff Photographer and Director of Photography.
Brett’s career has taken him to over 20 different countries covering conflict, humanitarian, news, sports and feature assignments.
His accomplishments range from being a four-time Pulitzer prize nominee to being published in magazines such as Life, Time, Rollingstone, Newsweek and newspapers ranging from LA Times, Washington Post, Seattle Times, and USA Today.
Brett is now a firefighter. He does miss shooting photos of wildfires and social documentary work.
