Burim Myftiu

Burim Myftiu (born 1961)is an Albanian-American Contemporary Photographer. Graduated Philology at University of Prishtina and Photography at NYIP, New York. In 2003 he founded Photo Arts Collective of Kosova (PACK), organized and directed DOKUFEST – International Documentary and Short Film Festival. Curator of :“Gjon Mili Award-2004” – International Contemporary Photography Exhibition in National Art Gallery in Prishtinë, Kosova. Founder of “DOKUFOTO” 2003, 2004 and 2005, International Festival of Contemporary Documentary Photography, Prizren, Kosova.
His work is presented in several individual photography exhibitions and books in USA and Kosova.
Presently he is teaching photography and doing curatorial work. Serving as a regional Liaison Officer of FIAP – Federation International de l’Art photographique.
Burim resides and works in USA (Connecticut) and Prishtina, Kosova.
