About

He started showing interest in photography since the age of 7 as claimed by his mother. He grew up in a hill-side small town in West Java, and went to study in China at the ripe age of 15.

He attended the pioneering china photographer’s association’s correspondent school of photography during his architectural study in shanghai. two of his photos from his final portfolio won him praised as honorable mention & jury’s favorite at the school’s 1st student exhibition in 1998.

He’s currently the official photographer of the art of living foundation indonesia, a branch of the international, UN endorsed NGO covering social issues & social activities around Indonesia, and founder of a small photo production outfit PORTFOLIO® in Jakarta.

When not taking photos, he can be seen in traditional marketplace & shops looking for the best coffee bean money can buy, or modifying local delicacies to vegetarian friendly dishes.
