Cadet Photojournalist / Newcastle / NSW / Australia

The Newcastle Herald, the leading daily newspaper serving the Hunter Region, is seeking a cadet photographer to join its editorial team.

Applicants should have passion for all areas of newspaper photography. They should be highly motivated with good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team as well as unsupervised.

Applicants should also have strong skills in:

• All aspects of digital photography, including handling of digital images

• The use of Windows and programs including Photoshop

This is an exciting position in a productive office.

The successful applicant will eventually be required to work full-time on a rotating roster which includes weekend and night shifts.
