hi all, im looking for help about camera gear insurance. I do not have a home owners policy and spend most of the year working in a variety of african countries. Do you have any ideas for decent coverage at a reasonable rate? thanks! – aubrey

This is WAY cheaper than my current insurance, almost too good to be true. I’d be really interested to hear from anyone who’s had experiences – good or bad – with them?

Just reading through the Nikonians policy for joining :
“2. Anyone who owns or plan to buy Nikon photography equipment may register at Nikonians, i.e. if you do not own and do not plan to buy Nikon equipment, you must not register.”
If I have a Nikon UV filter on one of my Canon lenses, do I qualify? :-P

If you look at the “terms” section you can insure any brand but not laptops

Avoid Niksecure. Nothing but trouble.

Hum… I knew this was too good to be true.

In England there is Williamson Carson, they were recommended by a photographer and are quite expensive

I use Hays Group through NPPA. I like that it conciders a laptop as normal photography gear and has international coverage.
