Attention all Canon shooters!
Want to take a shot at getting your work selected and exhibited in the Canon Exhibition Galleries during the upcoming New York Photo Festival?
Here is the drill, Canon is setting up a production studio which will accept all Powershot G9 Digital camera-produced photographs. We will also be lending up to 50 G9s to all photographers to use during the festival (for 2 hours). Teams of top-notch photo editors will select the best work from the daily submissions, which will then get displayed in four separate gallery spaces.
If you want to submit work shot on other Canon cameras (D5s, MKIIIs etc), you can do that as well. We accept all images, so long as they are produced on a Canon.
Prints will be produced on large-format, state-of-the art Canon printers, and selected works will be returned to their creators whenever the work is swapped out. Shooters will also be able to print their own work on Canon Pixma printers (smaller prints).
Last, but not least, every shooter will get to keep all of their images in a Photo Shelter account (or it can get put up into your existing PS account).
Early birds are encouraged to start submitting work on Wednesday, after 1pm. The Canon Production Studio and Galleries will be located in the 111 Gallery Row, which is located at 111 Front Street in DUMBO.
That’s about it. I hope that you’ll participate in this real-time exhibition concept with Canon and the New York Photo Festival.
Best,
Frank
