Good Eye Doctor in NYC

Its that time of year again, I am out of contacts and need an eye exam. I am freelance so YEAH!!! I have no insurance. Anybody have any suggestions on a good eye doctor. Especially one who is not going to rape me on the contacts. Any input is greatly appreciated.
