I’m originally from England, but emigrated to Canada in 2008.
My photographic experience is both varied and “inadequate”….i’m still working on that! I became seriously interested in photography at the age of 16, and maintained my own darkroom until last year when i found it was simply collecting dust. I have not found my photographic niche yet…as most photographic jobs seem to kill my enjoyment of photography. For now i practice in my spare time with my photographic collective “Dante was here” and plan to finally dedicate my efforts to mastering digital manipulation.
As for my “career” i am a jack of all trades, including…
animator, lecturer, prop maker, model maker, custom picture framer, photographer, editor, court reporter and many more.
I have traveled throughout Europe (favourite places being Italy and Portugal), traveled with Canadian Peacekeepers in Bosnia, Lived in Ankara, Turkey, hiked through Kenya and climbed the summits of Mts. Kenya and Kilimanjaro. Cycled and hiked across Italy. Been to Bulgaria, Serbia, Malta, Sicily and Alaska. But still have plenty more locations i need to visit yet…..
I am finally dedicating some time and energy to my photography and hope to finally find my “voice” and produce something artistic and socially valuable.
