Worked in newspapers for 20 years, including stints on staff at three NYC / NJ area newspapers and a photo editor at the NY Daily News. Work has appeared in The New York Times, NY Daily News, International Herald-Tribune, USA Today, and BusinessWeek, among others. A former U.S. Marine, served honorably in the mid-1980’s, including 2+ years stationed on Okinawa, Japan. (whoa, was it that long ago?) A longtime volunteer & travel junkie, I accompany several humanitarian aid clients on their international disaster relief & medical missions.
