A $0.45 haircut in Yangon, a 16-hour night bus to Mandalay, an 8-hour boat trip down the Ayeyawaddy River – not your typical week of work, but it is for International renowned photographer Chris Bolin.
I have worked on extensive photographic projects in Canada, Mexico, The Bahamas, The Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, Venezuela, Mauritius, Kenya, India, Myanmar, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and the United States.
I have been shot at, arrested, attacked by elephants, tear gassed, walked amongst the ruins of Ground Zero, spat on by a humpback whale, had dinner with Desmond Tutu, crashed in a hot air balloon, robbed at knifepoint and have only had to wear a suit twice. I have photographed the Pope, the Queen, and Jennifer Aniston all in one week – the same week that I had to don a tie.
My work has appeared in numerous publications including: The National Post, MacLeans Magazine, The Globe and Mail, Getty Images, Newsweek, The South China Morning Post, Time Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Outpost Magazine, Explore Magazine, The LA Times.
I am based in Calgary, Alberta and fully digital and ready to go where ever I am needed.
