Christian Poveda dies in El Salvador

Last week photographers from Mexico be with Poveda in a workshop in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Now we read that he dies in El Salvador. Thanks for the learning, the smiles, the good times, the good memories.

I was in Visa Pour L´Image in Perpignan last week – and on the Thursday evening prize & photo presentations in Campo Santos – several hundred press, agency, ass. industry bods and photographers stood in silence – in his remembrance (and that of other unfortunate photographers who have recently died).

It was a touching moment. If you can go watch his last movie “La Vida Loca” (The Crazy Life) about gang-life in El Salvador.
