oi…this is just so heartbreaking….saw parts of La Vida L a bit back….and it’s just devastating to learn that Christian has been killed….

our thoughts and love go out to his family, friends and all loved ones….

The worst thing is when people who spend their lives trying build bridges of understanding die in this way. I only hope that somehow Christian´s work receives greater attention and somehow helps to alleviate this terrible and terrifying situation. Here in Mexico people die every day, and nobody seems to know who is guilty or what the true reasons are. This morning 17 addicts in rehab were murdered in Juárez. Turf wars? Class-ethnic cleansing? just plain terror? Nobody knows. Things are just plain out of hand. Koyanisquatsi, perhaps. The legacy of the wars from the Reagan years and centuries of social injustice.

Our solidarity with Christian Poveda, q.e.p.d. Deepest thanks for your legacy.
