I am interested in how photography and visual representation can challenge social and political inequalities, particularly in the Americas. Currently a Master’s candidate at NYU in Latin American and Caribbean Studies, my academic focus is on everyday photography in Peru. At present, I am pursuing projects that explore the power relationships at work in image production and circulation, and that examine the (im)possibility of personal agency in compromising situations.
