About
I was born and raised in a small town somewhere in rural Western Germany. Cows and sheep. That sort of thing. Later I was supposed to become a mechanical engineer. After one year I quit and started studying photography at the Fachhochschule Dortmund. I was also a semi-professional rally driver for four years. In 2002 I shipped a Land Rover from Germany to Buenos Aires and drove in six months from Argentina to New York, where I began studying photojournalism at ICP. I graduated in 2003 and since then have been working in Palestine, Japan, Chad/Darfur, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Pakistan and Lebanon. In 2005 and 2006 I spent about nine months in Iraq for the New York Times. I’m based in Brooklyn and represented by Agentur laif in Germany.

Hi there,
Does anybody have a friend in Douala? I am looking for a place to park my beloved Land Rover here for one month.
Thanks. Christoph.
