I am a video and multimedia journalist based in Doha, Qatar. I am also an assistant professor with Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism Doha campus where I teach visual and multimedia journalism.

I am a freelance video journalist for Time.com, GlobalPost.com & Slate.com. In addition, I occasionally moonlight as a freelance audio producer for NPR’s Hearing Voices. Prior to joining Northwestern, I worked as a video and multimedia journalist for the Chicago Tribune spending my time writing, producing, shooting and editing video and multimedia content for the paper’s website and broadcast partners. In addition, I would occasionally write for the Chicago Tribune Sunday Magazine, Books, National and Perspective sections.
