Chris Gregory is a editorial photographer based in New York City and San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is a regular contributor to The New York Times.
Chris grew up in San Juan and left the Caribbean to study journalism on a scholarship in Washington, DC. In the nation’s capital he covered Congress and traveled with President Obama to Puerto Rico during the first official presidential visit in half a century.
In San Juan, he is focusing on long term projects that document the different aspects of the so called “welfare island.”
His clients include The New York Times, Getty Images, The Associated Press, Fast Company and El Nuevo Día. In 2012 he completed an internship in New York City shooting for The New York Times.
He speaks English and Spanish natively and is available for assignments anywhere in the world.
