I am a freelance photojournalist and documentary photographer based in Brooklyn, NY available for both editorial and corporate work. I’ve previously held an internship with the Wisconsin State Journal, been published in most large papers within Wisconsin, and was photo editor, senior staff photographer and web editor at my college paper, The Daily Cardinal. I have also traveled widely in the US, Eastern Africa and Western Europe documenting differing cultural norms.
For news, I’ve covered Mardi Gras, Bonnaroo, the Iowa caucuses, Wisconsin and Texas primaries as well as national and state election events. I’ve also had the pleasure to cover many protests, rallies, sit ins, fires, concerts and various natural disasters. All in addition to regular daily newspaper portrait and feature assignments.
For sports, I’ve previously covered the Outback Bowl, Capital One Bowl, the 2006 NCAA Frozen Four Hockey Championships and most every UW Badgers’ football, hockey and basketball game in the last three years in addition to volleyball, wrestling, soccer, track and swimming. I’m an avid snowboarder and have photographed most large board sports and many of the large ski/snowboard resorts as well.
