NGO Photo Workshop in India.

Working with NGO’s and Making a Difference with Photography

Saturday 10th March 2010 – Sunday 17th March 2010, Kolkata, India

Led by the award winning photographer Jonathan Torgovnik, the Changing Ideas workshop will give you the exciting opportunity to take pictures that can really make a difference. This workshop is for photographers who want to produce stunning pictures and make a difference with their work.

Taking place in Kolkata, India in March 2010, several local NGO’s have been recruited to work with participating photographers who will be assessing the NGO’s needs and producing appropriate photography.

The workshop will have several experts on hand to guide and help the photographers taking part. These include photographer Jonathan Torgovnik, who will draw on his wealth of experience in concerned photography to provide invaluable knowledge and support for the workshop participants. Cheryl Newman, Picture editor of the Daily Telegraph, will be guiding photographers on creating the story. Changing Ideas will help photographers understand the needs of the NGO and produce fantastic and important portfolio of images that can make a difference to their work.

Through this workshop photographers will gain an invaluable insight into the needs of NGO’s and the types of imagery they require with the added benefit of knowing that they are providing a service that these small NGO’s would otherwise be unable to afford.

At the end of the workshop, each NGO will be provided with a selection of images that can be used to help them in an area of their work be that awareness, fundraising, or advocacy

The workshop will run from Wednesday 10th March 2010 – Wednesday 17th March 2010 in Kolkata, India.
