As long as you travel with a non journalist visa ( Tourist one), and do not travel with too much Gear, I do not think you’d have any. How long would you be hanging around there?

I was in Cuba a couple weeks ago – no problem with bringing in a laptop. I traveled with my digital camera and 2 film bodies (1 in my checked luggage). My camera bag doesn’t scream photographer though so maybe throw your stuff in a duffel and look like a tourist.

You can PM me with any other questions.

Getting it in is one thing, getting it out is another. Be sure to register everything with US customs before you go.
